Mour Group Engineering + Design provided full-service architecture and engineering for a comprehensive facility upgrade and expansion of an existing Penske auto dealership in San Diego. The scope encompassed architecture, structural engineering, interior design, civil engineering, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design — coordinated across multiple project phases from concept through construction support and city permitting.
The exterior conversion replaced existing EIFS façade with contemporary aluminum cladding per manufacturer coordination, installation detailing, and accessibility improvements required by the City of San Diego. Interior work transformed the existing sales area, sales offices, storage rooms, and parts mezzanine to accommodate a new vehicle delivery space, refreshed sales floor, updated employee areas, and improved parts storage. The project also included relocation of the sales area storefront system, floor expansion, and a service bay and porte-cochère addition.
The existing used car sales office was converted into a dedicated auto detailing facility, optimizing the site for expanded service operations.
All project phases included full processing through the City of San Diego and on-call construction support services.
