PriceSmart Chia
The PriceSmart Store in Chia, Colombia is a 95,000 sq. ft., masonry and steel building over a 375 space, parking garage. The project includes administrative areas, employee locker and break rooms, a market, restaurant, commercial kitchen, bakery and tire center for the public. Mour Group provided primary engineering services.
In addition, Mour Group provided construction administration services for the project, which included regular site visits to Chia, Colombia, and meeting with the different jurisdictions to coordinate and present the documents in a timely fashion in order to obtain the required construction permits.
Construction consists of a premanufactured metal building of precast slab floor with composite steel framing. Foundations were concrete piles. All site storm water was stored and filtered for recycled water applications. All waste water was captured, and filtered to potable levels and used for irrigation.
